TermsWhat you can't and can do with these scriptsA little bit about this placeThis archive was put up in an effort to provide a resource to the Frontier Community. It features mostly my scripts, although I would like to include other useful scripts that aren't available elsewhere. Where I've included a section of code that isn't mine, I try to get permission to include it and give proper credit where it is due. Most of these scripts started off as a question on one of the frontier mailing lists. Someone asks, "How do you do this?", and I think, you could do it this way I think, but since I've never tried I have to give it a shot first. It's a self teaching method, writing code to see if you can get it to work, and posting the results. Also, when someone offers an idea, I find that I usually have to rewrite it in order for me to really see how it works, and fit it into my style of working. These scripts are free You are more than welcome to use and modify these scripts. They are examples; feel free to dissect the code and use the techniques in your own scripts. (There's nothing magic in here, just simple code.) Because they are free, I don't provide support--i.e., I may not have time to answer questions or fix bugs (though I do my best to keep things bug free) or add the features you want. What you can't do with these scripts You can't sell them, you can't remove my name from them, you can't represent them as your own work. You can't republish them on a CD or book or a website without permission. (please ask if you'd like to, though.) If you make changes and redistribute them, you must document your changes in the script. If you make extensive changes, I'd ask that you truly make it your own by giving the script a new name. If you use a lot of my code, I'd like credit. What you can do with these scripts You can pass them along to friends, you can make changes, you can study them. As long as the copyright info isn't modified, you can redistribute. You can point to the from your website. You can test them, use them, and suggest improvements. You can send me bug reports. You can and should have fun. Copyrights Phil's Script Archive, the scripts and pages in this site are all copyright 1997-98 by Philip Suh. Enjoy and use them in good health.
