A suite to enable Frontier to render web pages in double-byte languages

The MWU suite provides two solutions (implemented in fast UCMDs--68k and PPC) for rendering Japanese text in Frontier. NProcessMacros is a replacement for string.processhtmlMacros () and TwoByteFixer is a preprocessor that protects Japanese text from corruption when it enters the rendering process.
MWU stands for MultiLingual Web Utilities. It works with Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew, and Roman scripts.
Of biggest interest to non-double-byte language users of Frontier is the NProcessMacros() script and UCMD. It implements exactly all the same functions as string.processHtmlMacros(), with a (on average) 20% speed increase. As a bonus, it outputs macro errors in bright red so that they're easier to see on the page (unless of course, your background is red).
To use MWU.NProcessMacros() to take advantage of the speed improvement for Roman scripts, make this change to html.processMacros:
change the line that says:
s = string.processHtmlMacros (string(s), flaps, activeURLs, clayCompatibility, @html.ucmds.embeddedcode)
to
s = MWU.NprocessMacros (string(s), flaps, activeURLs, clayCompatibility, @html.ucmds.embeddedcode, 0)
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Hideaki Iimori is the author of numerous OSAXen and UCMDs for handling Japanese text. He is the author of Mr. PC, a brilliant little app that serves as a floating application context switcher(Drag Manager/Display Manager/Internet Config compliant) that also sports a shared menu palette for Frontier. He's been using Frontier since version 1.0.
