An introduction Hi. In Japan, we've been hard at work making Frontier as friendly as possible to double-byte languages. We've taken big strides in the last few months with the help of Hideaki Iimori, who has developed the UCMDs necessary to process Japanese text without compromising speed. At the same time, the Userland team has been working very hard on the next version of Frontier. Updates to various portions of the Frontier app may affect the current patches available for double-byte processing. Although things are hectic at this stage of development, perhaps it's timely to consider which direction Frontier should go in supporting double-byte languages, at what level is it feasible to do so, and `what the advantages to supporting double-byte languages now are. Before the new app goes golden, perhaps we can bring a real advantage to Frontier as a global solution to web management and development. The articles below will give you a good start. Thanks for your time and comments.
