What to do at a BAFUG meeting |
alderete@be.com (Michael A. Alderete)" |
My immediate interest would be to see how people are using the
workflow/collaboration aspects of Frontier 5.1. I'm afraid I don't have a
solid handle on how it works, how Frontier is advantageous, etc. I know
there are answers, but I'll grok it so much faster if I could see a real
system in actual use. I would be *thrilled* if UserLand could do a demo,
and show us how their own internal collaboration system works.
After that, demos of various Frontier suites/add-ons for doing interesting
things, like the Ocha stuff, HALO, other things that are interesting, would
be cool. My own primary interest is for stuff that deals with web site
management and scripting, but I'd be interested in seeing almost anything
in Frontier, if it's well done. |

I'd like to be able to fully manage a mid-size web site with Frontier...
so far I've only used it for discrete parts. Propably the most useful way
to address these questions, is a demo or two followed by Q&A. In
addition, I'd like to learn more about content publishing workflow
systems... how people are using them, and how they are set up.

dave@organic.com (David Humphreys) |
I would _love_ to talk about developing large-scale web sites with
Frontier. Demos are cool. Eating pizza's a favorite pasttime.

johnr@cnet.com (John Roberts) |
Hmmm... view some demos, esp. of problem solving (one person describe a
small problem, more experienced person explain an approach to fixing it);
most interested in web development

tclifton@es-designs.com (Tom Clifton) |
As far as an agenda, I am open to any of the above, though I did tell
Dave that we would discuss Frontier certification (possibly even before
dinner). I would also participate in a mailing list. If nobody else has
hosting capabilities, I am sure that I could build something.

"bill@whump.com (Bill Humphries) |
I'd like to see presentations on scripting and development. Food would be
good too. Where we could combine internet access, big screen for
presentations and food is a good question.

jsimms@pair.com (John Simms) |
4. See some demos of cool things other folks are doing, but because of one
reason or another, a normal layman wouldn't have the opportunity to see it.
I think it would just be cool to get a who's who of Frontier folks in the
area.

mllaneza@cassys.com (Michael Llaneza) |
Demos, web development, Q&A, invite folks from Userland to speak, eat and drink as appropriate [Ed. note: eating and drinking are always appropriate!]
|
brian@techsoln.com (Brian Andresen) |
Heck, I dunno. :-) Even just meeting people is good enough for me,
though I do think it would be helpful to have *some* sort of agenda. I
just don't care much (at the present, at least) what's on it.
|
scottmac@pacbell.net (Scott McReynolds) |
I am basically a Frontier hobbyist. I would like to network
with other beginners to discuss frontier scripting.
I would be interested in tutorials and workgroups that would
help me get started using UserTalk. |
